The school pedestrian gate opens for Year 1–6 at 8.40am on Park Road and children walk independently through the school grounds into their classroom. This is closely monitored by staff along the route. Gates close promptly at 8:55am. Any families arriving after this time will need to take their child/children to the main reception foyer and sign them in at the late desk, which is evaluated regularly by the Attendance Team.
Reception pupils are to be dropped off at the Breakfast / Afterschool Club door, which is located at the front of the school building on the right-hand side. The Reception staff team will be there to meet and greet pupils as they arrive each morning between 8:40am and 8:55am.

At the start of the school day, messages to the class teacher should be sent to the teacher via Class Dojo or via the school office. The Senior Leadership Team will be present at the gate to greet pupils and ensure children are happy and safe as they enter the school grounds.
Children are collected from the playgrounds at the end of the day
If a child is collected by another adult, we expect parents to inform the school in writing – this should be sent to the school office, which can be done via Class Dojo or email admin@st-marycray.bromley.sch.uk
We must have written permission from a parent if children are allowed to walk home on their own – consent for this can be updated via Arbor
Parents can speak to class teachers after school, but we must ask that you wait until all children are dismissed safely before approaching teachers. For more sensitive or detailed discussions, appointments can be made to speak to the Class Teachers after school via the school office
